This passion for training is fed by the critical technician skills shortage the special effects sector faces, as well as our drive to constantly innovate and inspire the next generation of special effects professionals.
We are also passionate about getting out in the community and educating young people on routes into the industry. This involves working with local schools and colleges, attending careers events and much more.
We are proud to sponsor SAW (Screen Alliance Wales). Via this partnership, we have provided live demonstrations to thousands of schools, showing the next generation the wonders of visual effects and the fascinating industry we work in.
We have enjoyed great success through our various Apprenticeship programmes. Apprentices have been part of RealSFX from the start. Our wonderful Apprentices have been central to us building the business and the workforce in Wales.
We are very proud of the fact that we hire an Apprentice every year, with 90% staying with us and remaining part of the Real SFX team.
In 2023, our Technician, Will, was recognised as one of the 100 “Technicians: We Make a Difference”, being awarded The Royal Hauksbee Award for his invaluable contribution to the industry. This was an initiative formed by the Gatsby Charitable Foundation.
