At the beginning of October, Real SFX HQ proudly welcomed international delegates as part of the Economy Hotspot Cymru 2024 event held in Cardiff. This influential gathering highlighted Wales’s commitment to prioritising the wellbeing of future generations and its role in advancing the transition to a sustainable, circular economy.

As part of the program, delegates participated in various site visits designed to showcase best practices in sustainability across different industries. We were honoured to be included in this important initiative. Our company Directors Danny and Carmela led an exclusive tour of our workshop, providing an inside look at how Real SFX brings its unique magic to life.

During the tour, delegates witnessed live demonstrations of our sustainable physical effects techniques and innovative props. They experienced first-hand how we creatively reduce waste while still delivering world-class special effects for film and television. By showcasing our methods and processes, we aimed to inspire others in the industry to adopt similar sustainable practices.

Our workshop is known for its cutting-edge technology and environmentally friendly materials, which set the standard for special effects in the entertainment sector. The discussions around sustainable practices in filmmaking and special effects  are critical as the industry shifts towards more responsible production methods.

In addition to our workshop demonstrations, we showcased our award winning initiative, KIT4CREW. This sustainability program for the creative industry, focuses on collaboration, education, resource sharing, and promoting environmentally conscious choices. We believe that ensuring a shift to a circular economy benefits everyone and empowers local communities to actively participate in sustainability efforts.

We are excited to be at the forefront of this movement, and we are committed to making a positive impact in the industry and beyond.
