Being a BAFTA albert approved supplier reflects the high standards we uphold in delivering eco-conscious practical effects while maintaining the creativity, safety, and quality we’re known for.
Leading the way in sustainable SFX
At Real SFX, we believe sustainability and innovation go hand in hand. We’ve embedded green practices in special effects across our operations – from our workshops to our work on set – helping productions reduce their carbon footprint without compromising on spectacular results.
Some of the ways we champion film production sustainability include:
- – Using renewable energy to power our HQ and workshops
- – Adopting low-emission generators (e-generators) and HVO fuel on set
- – Offering biodegradable alternatives, including eco-friendly snow
- – Supporting travel-mapping and carbon reduction strategies on productions
- – Promoting a reuse and recycle-first approach to materials and effects.
We also collaborate closely with sustainability teams across productions to integrate green solutions at every stage – from planning to wrap.
KIT4CREW: circular solutions for the screen industry
Our passion for sustainability extends beyond special effects. We’re also behind KIT4CREW, our award-winning workwear reuse initiative that collects and redistributes unwanted production workwear to crew in need. Since launching in early 2024, it has gained wide industry support and continues to make a positive impact on both waste reduction and crew wellbeing.
