The wait is over – HAVOC is officially streaming on Netflix, and it’s already making serious waves. Directed by the phenomenal Gareth Evans (The Raid), and starring Tom Hardy and Forest Whitaker, this brutal, adrenaline-pumping thriller was filmed largely in Wales and is a project we at Real SFX are incredibly proud to have been part of.
We had the privilege of creating all the practical special effects for HAVOC, including explosive shootouts, blood-spattered bullet hits, gritty atmospherics, and high-impact physical sequences. With Gareth Evans’ trademark style and Tom Hardy in full-force, HAVOC demanded a visceral level of realism – and our SFX team rose to the challenge.
The film’s long-anticipated release was marked by a special cast and crew screening in Cardiff, which we were thrilled to attend. It was a brilliant night celebrating the local talent and hard work that brought this production to life. We were especially proud to share the evening with members of our Real SFX team who worked on the film — a well-deserved moment to reflect on the scale and quality of what we helped create.
